Terms & Refund Policy

These terms apply to all digital products offered by the National Institute for Play, including the Play Styles Quiz (free), the Play Styles Premium Assessment, and the Live Playfully Digital Journal.

Refund policy

All of our products are digital and delivered instantly upon completion or purchase. All purchases are final and non-refundable. By completing checkout, you acknowledge that you understand the product is non-refundable once access has been granted.

If you encounter a technical issue that prevents you from accessing what you paid for, please contact us and we'll make it right.

What you're purchasing

Play Styles Quiz (free)

A short assessment that returns your six primary Play Style scores, a personalized results page, an emailed summary, and a 3-page PDF. No payment is required.

Play Styles Premium Assessment ($39 one-time)

A one-time purchase grants you the extended assessment and your in-depth Play Styles report, including your 24 subtype breakdown, 7 dimension sliders, personalized play prompts, and a 12-page PDF report. If you'd like to retake the premium assessment later to see how your play profile has changed, we offer a one-time 50% retake discount.

Live Playfully Digital Journal ($35 one-time)

A one-time purchase grants you access to the full 90-day Live Playfully Digital Journal experience, including the opening reflection, 90 daily entries, 9 sprint reviews, capstone reflection, and closing letter.

Minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to take an assessment, purchase a product, or create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and accounts found to belong to someone younger will be deleted.

Your data

We use your responses to personalize your results and, in aggregate and anonymized form, to advance research on play. We never sell your personal information. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
